LVA relies on charitable contributions to keep our unique, student-centered
programs free of charge for functionally illiterate adults in Metro
Atlanta (Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, and Gwinnett Counties). For more
than 20 years, LVA has been the only adult literacy organization
providing one-on-one tutoring exclusively to adults who read and
write at or below the fifth-grade level.
Thanks to the support of our individual donors, we’ve grown
from a small volunteer group to a leader in Atlanta’s adult
literacy community. By donating now, you can help LVA continue to
change the lives of hundreds of the adults and families we serve.
As a dynamic, volunteer-based organization, LVA maximizes the use
of every dollar. Gifts of any size are valuable and deeply appreciated.
A contribution of $100 helps train a new tutor, $200 funds the purchase
of books for children and their parents in our family literacy program;
$500 funds testing and assessments of our students so that we can
tailor their education accurately to their individual needs.
For your convenience, you can now donate to LVA online. Click
here to make your gift.
We also accept checks, money orders, stock transfers, in-kind gifts.
Contact our development office for assistance or to talk about making
a planned gift to LVA.
You can schedule future gifts by completing and mailing a pledge
form to our office. Please direct all gifts to:
